GERMAN CHINESE CENTER IN LEIPZIG - DCZL

Dear [Reader],

as requested by you and also with great pleasure I would like to give herewith a written statement on the intention of the

“WORKING GROUP TAX AND LEGAL”

of the German – Chinese – Center in Leipzig (hereinafter referred to as “DCZL”).

As you know this group has been founded last year with the intention to bring together all those members of the DCZL who have to do with legal and tax affairs and who are interested in a more profound work related to comparing the conceptional structures and theoretic functions which stand behind the average working day’s experiences.

Such a comparative-law-approach will be of great utility of course to lawyers, but also to those who are concerned by and with law, on both the Chinese and the German side. We know that already mostly on an academic “university level” such interstate cooperation is going on, but here we intend to bring together legal and tax practitioners, standing “under fire” every day, who are interested in knowing more about the legal conceptions of the other side.

Even if we certainly do not want to neglect all necessary profound work on legal theory, it is the predominantly the objective to bring about practical advantages in every day work and exchange, yet not just by simply doing, but by being able to proceed efficiently based on a deeper understanding of the “world of conceptions” of the other side.

By doing so we want to bring together lawyer’s working minds but also to deepen personal understanding and thus bring about personal relationships on both sides, especially of those men and women concerned with legal and tax affairs in their daily work.

I hope I could explain a little bit in general what this working group of DCZL is about and of course I am open for any of your possible questions.
